The study was performed in a group of 10 volunteers aged from 30 to 65 years, with the following inclusion criteria: mild/ moderate face flaccidity, fine wrinkles in the middle third of the face and mild/moderate structural skin atrophy in the middle third of the face. The patients were administered the same mesohyalTM product in a split face protocol of 5 sessions, with 15 days of interval between sessions.

Study in vivo:
At the end of the treatment (D70) cosmetic improvements were seen with both techniques, as well as a greater elasticity and firmness with Mesotherapy ( called intradermal therapy int he original article).. After only two treatment sessions (D28), a greater firmness was seen with microneedling, probably because it causes a greater physical stimulation. However, better results are obtained in the medium term with Mesotherapy because, though it causes fewer physical effects, more product can be injected.
